Caught on camera: Indian-origin businessman shot dead in Canada

This special report focuses on the targeted killing of 68-year-old Indian-origin textile tycoon Darshan Singh Sahasi in Abbotsford, Canada. Gang member Goldy Dhillon of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility in a social media post, stating Sahasi was targeted for allegedly refusing to pay extortion money. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) is now investigating the murder, which took place outside the businessman's home and was captured on CCTV. Sahasi, who emigrated from Punjab in 1991, was the president of Canam International, a major textile recycling company. This incident has heightened concerns about the reach of Indian criminal networks and the safety of the Indian diaspora in Canada.
